Family Life Ministries - Trinity Episcopal Church

Our Mission

Recognizing the value of the extended family, Trinity's Family Life Ministry intentionally cultivates faith development, celebration, mutual care, worship and fellowship in a safe, supportive, intergenerational community.

Our Values

FAITH DEVELOPMENT

Knowing that we are on a life-long journey of faith we want to continue to be formed into the likeness of Christ. We want to become better disciples. Faith Development includes:

  • Children Ministires
Trinity Episcopal Church has a thriving community in Children's Ministires. Children are loved, encouraged and directed towards a releationship with Jesus Christ. At Trinity, children are valued and nurtured. We are committed to helping them learn to worship. Perhaps they won't always understand what is going on or being said, but they can understand that this is a place where they are loved and accepted.
  • ·
  • Youth Ministries
Youth Ministry at Trinity is to involve teens in the life, mission and work of the Church. By using a comprehensive method we seek to share with our youth the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. We work to minister to students so that their faith is relative to their everyday life. Ministry is focused to see that discipleship includes building the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth, and connecting each of our stories to the Great Story of God.
  • ·
  • TnT: Teens 'N Training
Teens 'N Training is the ministry for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. An explosion of new opportunities for this age group includes their own Sunday School class in the "Our Space" room and regular gatherings for fun and service projects. Participation in the diocesan retreats for middle-schoolers is also encouraged.
  • Service Opportunities (including short term intergenerational mission trips)
  • ·
  • Vacation Bible School
VBS is for all 4-year-olds through 4th grade. Our volunteers last year ranged from 5th grade through 80-year-old helpers! You do not have to have small children to be a part of this wonderful, energizing, enlightening week. We have all kinds of jobs, from preparations beforehand to the big finale party the last evening. Some just involve a few hours and some many more. So wherever your time and talents lie, be a part of this church family event.

CELEBRATION

We believe that God has created us in His image. Knowing that the world God created is good, we celebrate the divine in the daily. Celebration includes:

  • Birthdays
  • ·
  • Anniversaries
  • ·
  • Getting out of the hospital
  • ·
  • Individual Accolades

MUTUAL CARE

In sacred, caring relationships God is able to transform us. We seek to care, pray, celebrate, cry and live together. Mutual Care includes:

  • Mom's Devotional
Meeting Monday's at 9:00 AM in the parlor, a Mom's Ordinary Day Bible Study series explores the qualities that make you not just a mom but a one-of-a-kind, precious daughter of God. As you learn, reflect, and grow you'll be amazed at how time spent with God makes the most ordinary day extraordinary. Dig into the Bible study and rediscover yourself as a whole person: wife, friend, family member, beautiful person, and most of all, believer. Finding Joy in All You Are will help you discover more about yourself - a unique creation of God - and how to make your life on of purpose, balance, and beauty.
  • ·
  • Trinity Guys in Fellowship
Trinity Guys in Fellowship is a men’s ministry whose members are Trinity husbands and fathers seeking a brotherhood with other family men from the church. TGIF meets every month, typically at 7:00 PM on the 3rd Wednesday, to share in food, fellowship, and fun. Our meetings rotate between gathering at a member’s home for dinner, an extracurricular activity (shooting pool, bowling or catching a baseball game) and meeting at the church for dinner. Our primary group benefit is having fun by setting aside a regular time when the group can meet to encourage and support each other as fathers basing our family life on Christian principals.
  • ·
  • Guild of the Christ Child
The Guild of the Christ Child is an organization that serves to support families with children ages 0-4. The Guild works towards supporting families after the birth or adoption of a child, celebrating with families at the time of their child's baptism, improving our Nursery facilities and offering volunteers on Sundays, and planning some activities for the young children and their families. We hope to help each family and young child find their place within the Trinity family.
  • ·
  • Christians as Parents
Christians as Parents is a group that meets for Christian fellowship once a month. All parents are invited to join. The group is subdivided into smaller groups that meet for dinner in a member’s home on the fourth Saturday of each month at 6:30 PM. The members of the club are rotated each month so that all can begin to know each other. Babysitting is provided at the church for a nominal fee.
  • Special Needs Ministry
Trinity Episcopal Church believes that every child is a blessing and needs to learn about God’s love for them. Understanding that some children have special needs and require additional support to learn, Trinity’s Special Needs Ministry strives to provide a safe and secure place to worship and share God's love.
  • ·
  • Eclectic Eccentrics
The Eclectic Eccentrics meet every Wednesday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM in the church parlor, September through May. The group reads Biblically based books, listens to tapes, invites speakers, and enjoys fellowship.

WORSHIP

We are called to live lives of hope and thanksgiving. Recognizing this, we come together to worship our God. Worship includes:

  • Special Easter services
  • ·
  • Blessing of the Animals
  • ·
  • St. Nicholas Day
  • ·
  • Family Retreats
