What is the Guild of the Christ Child?
The Guild of the Christ Child is an organization that serves to support families
with children ages 0-4. The Guild works towards supporting families after the birth
or adoption of a child, celebrating with families at the time of their child's baptism,
improving our Nursery facilities and offering volunteers on Sundays, and planning
some activities for the young children and their families. We hope to help each
family and young child find their place within the Trinity family.
When You Are Expecting A Child!
The arrival of a new baby is a joyous and hectic time in each family's life. As
your church family, we share your joy and excitement. We also know that this can
be an exhausting, worrisome and confusing time. Please notify the church as soon
as your baby arrives. A member of the Guild of the Christ Child will tell you about
all of the things the church can provide for support during this busy time. Also,
a rose will be set at the altar in your child's honor soon after their arrival.
A member of the Guild of the Christ Child will deliver the rose, as well as a small
welcome packet, to offer our best wishes from your church family.
At Your Child's Baptism
The Sacrament of baptism is a special time for each family. The Guild of the Christ
Child hopes to help celebrate this joyous occasion by offering a small gift to the
child and recognizing the importance with each family.
A Place For Our Smallest Members At Church
As parents of small children, whether you are long-time members or visiting with
us, you want to have peace of mind that your children are safe and well-cared for
while you worship and learn. The Nursery provides professional childcare for children
up to and including 3 years of age on Sunday mornings, and for a variety of activities
during the week. Nursery personnel are screened and trained to provide expert care
for your children. There is a baby room for our littlest members, a toddler room
for when they need a slightly different space, and an adjacent playground for outdoor
play. The guild helps to provide church volunteers to staff the baby room and assists
with any improvements to the church Nursery.
A Time For Fellowship
Throughout the year, the Guild offers several events where young families can meet
and get to know one another better. These events are an opportunity for each family
to get together in a relaxed atmosphere and act as a support group filled with families
going through the excitement of raising young children.
