No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what the master is doing:
but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from the Father I have
made known to you.(John 15:15)
And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking
of bread and prayers.(Acts 2:42 )
Coffee Ministry
Church wouldn’t be church without coffee and pastries! This ministry provides nuturing
fellowship after each Sunday service. Starting at about 10:15 AM, refreshments are
available in Holy Grounds. Come and be refreshed, chat and meet new friends.
Trinity Guys in Fellowship
TGIF We want to make an impression on you! What is TGIF? Trinity Guys in Fellowship
(TGIF) is a men’s ministry whose members are Trinity husbands and fathers seeking
a brotherhood with other family men from the church. The mission of TGIF is:
- To support and encourage each other as Brothers in Christ, meeting regularly for
“food, fellowship, and fun,” and
- To support other ministries at Trinity, particularly the Youth and Children’s Ministry
Programs, by volunteering our collective time, talents and resources.
TGIF meets every month, typically at 7:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday, to share
in food, fellowship, and fun. Our meetings rotate between gathering at a member’s
home for dinner, an extracurricular activity (shooting pool, bowling or catching
a baseball game) and meeting at the church for dinner. Our primary group benefit
is having fun by setting aside a regular time when the group can meet to encourage
and support each other as fathers basing our family life on Christian principals..
Foyers
The French word “foyer” means “hearth or fireside,” and suggests small groups in
a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Foyers provide an opportunity for fellowship and
focus on hospitality rather than entertainment. Groups of eight people (combined
at random, rather than by age, zip code, etc.) meet monthly for a simple meal, relaxed
conversation and to enjoy each other’s company. Couples or individuals take turns
hosting the four monthly gatherings over a six-month period. Each Foyers group determines
its own meeting date.
Holy Smokers
The Holy Smokers is a group of Christian men who show their love for Jesus Christ
by offering the gift of their cooking services. These cooking services are offered
to other groups and ministries in the church and for fundraising events and activities.
The Holy Smokers meet once a month for fellowship in the kitchen.
Prime Time Guys
Prime Time Guys is a group of retired men who gather to serve their parish and community
with their time and gifts in an environment of fun and fellowship. Prime Time Guys
support each other in the transition into and during retirement. This group of Christian
men provides encouragement to each other to identify and develop their spiritual
gifts. They hold each other accountable to live their lives as true followers of
Jesus. They meet the third Monday of each month from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the
Wesley Room.
Purls & Prayers
The year 2007 brought a new ministry to Trinity Episcopal: Purls and Prayers. This
is a group of ladies who knit and crochet and have found great joy in making prayer
shawls and lap robes for people in nursing homes, hospitals or anyone in need. The
nice thing about Purls & Prayers is you can work on your own time in the comfort
of your home or maybe with a friend. Either way, you have the joy of making something
for someone in need. We will supply you with yarn and patterns for your works of
art. Anyone is welcome!
Singles Fellowship
The Singles Fellowship is dedicated to welcoming singles to Trinity Episcopal Church.
We provide an environment for singles (divorced, widowed, or never married) to grow
spiritually and socially. Join our group for friendship, fun, and service to our
church.
St. Anne's Guild
St. Anne’s Guild is a group of mature ladies who meet monthly for the purpose of
Christian fellowship, service to the church and community outreach. We often enjoy
guest speakers and try to take at least one trip to a place of interest.
Our members volunteer in nursing homes, hospitals, and as chaplains through the
Community of Hope. You will also find us working as office volunteers, Holy Folders,
caring for Trinity gardens, and as Kitchen Angels. Several of our members helped
create the kneelers for the church altar. We enjoy two yearly socials–an ice cream
party in May, and a Christmas luncheon in December–for women of the church.
Sonrise Breakfast
The Sonrise Breakfast Group is open to men of all faiths and denominations. The
group meets weekly to exchange names for prayer, study Christian literature, have
great fellowship, and enjoy a good breakfast. The meeting begins at 6:00 a.m. and
ends promptly at 7:00 a.m. in the Wesley Room.
Special Events
Celebrations, important occasions and fun times call for that “special” touch and
that’s what the Special Events Committee provides. Whether it is a Seder meal, Baptisms
or Rally Sunday, this fun, imaginative and energetic group helps create the “special”
fellowship environment for the church to gather and celebrate. This committee is
also a great way for newcomers to meet people and become involved in the church.
Trinity Scrappers
Enriching our Faith one memory at a time.
Trinity Scrappers is a fellowship ministry of Trinity Episcopal church. We believe
that by scrapbooking our family photos and by recording the memories behind those
photos we are recording our part in "HIS"tory. By doing so we are enriching our
faith and the faith all those who will look at our scrapbooks in the future. We
meet the 3rd Friday night of every month from 6PM-9:45PM. Everyone brings their
paper, photos, stickers and scrapbook supplies and works on preserving their families
stories. Those who are interested in scrapbooking, but don't have any supplies and
don't know where to begin can join us as we work on Trinity's scrapbook.
