Habitat for Humanity
This non-profit, inter-denominational Christian housing ministry is dedicated to
the goal of eradicating substandard housing. Trinity is actively involved with this
ministry through the Montgomery County Chapter. We finished our last project in
July 2007.
The Conroe Soup Kitchen
The Trinity “Soupers” cook and serve lunch to approximately 75 adults
and children the third Thursday of each month at the Salvation Army in Conroe. Transportation
is available. There are 20 volunteers working in this ministry.
Interfaith Hospitality Network
Trinity hosts families who are homeless and working toward independence by offering
food, lodging, transportation, and fellowship four times a year. The families stay
at Trinity for one week during which approximately 50 volunteers are needed to help
provide a caring atmosphere for these families in transition.
Jail Ministry
The Chaplain’s Office of the Montgomery County Jail is responsible for serving the spiritual needs of the inmates. It exists to provide religious materials, worship services, counseling, intercession and rehabilitation for jail inmates (English and Spanish speaking). The program is ecumenical and the volunteers come from the local churches. They also serve to help meet the spiritual needs of the staff and the families of inmates.
Lord of the Streets (LOTS)
The work and mission of Lord of the Streets Episcopal Church and Community of the
Streets Outreach is to minister to the spiritual, emotional, physical and social
needs of individuals living in Houston who are homeless, in crisis or in transition.
Community of the Streets Outreach is committed to providing supportive services
to meet the needs of homeless individuals and families. These services include healthcare,
food, clothing, personal hygiene kits, services to obtain identification, case management
for employment, counseling and substance abuse services, and providing referrals
to emergency shelter and permanent housing programs.
Disaster Response
Volunteers are necessary at critical times to respond to the needs of our church
members and larger community. An emergency response plan is in place to mobilize
and educate those interested in this project.
Souper Bowl Day of Caring
On Super Bowl Sunday, our youth will be part of a national program that assists
those in need. After each service on this particular Sunday, our youth will be collecting
donations from our membership. All money collected will go to the charity of our
choice that deals with hunger issues.
Women Empowering Women
A mentor team is working with a lady from Tamina towards the goals of assisting
her to achieve her GED, improving her housing condition, helping with parenting
skills and generally helping to improve the quality of living of her family
Interfaith of The Woodlands
Prime Time Guys hold a food drive every Sunday for the Interfaith Food Pantry.
Giving Tree
In coordination with Interfaith, Trinity members donate gifts at Christmas time
to those in need. This is the oldest and longest running outreach project at Trinity.
Seniors Ministry
Weekly prayer services and birthday celebrations are held at local retirement homes.
Trinity Veterans Fellowship
Trinity Veterans Fellowship started in June 2009. The ministry was blessed by Father Gerry Sevick on August ninth. On Veterans Day, he officiated at the first Trinity Veterans Evening Prayer Service. Our concern for outreach developed Veterans Resource Cards, now being distributed at hospitals in Montgomery County.
We seek missions with other ministries in support of work to which God calls us. Contact - TrinityVeterans@gmail.com
