Hear Am I. Send Me!
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said,
"Here am I. Send me!"
Trinity’s Stewardship Theme for 2011 comes form the story of Isaiah and has exciting meaning for your life. The name Isaiah means "the Lord is my Salvation." His name is a reminder that with God through Christ we are released from the impossible weight of our sins. We receive His glorious forgiveness and are freed to continually turn our hearts to God. We say continually because it is a continual process to become more Christ like in our hearts. As we walk the path of Christ, the condition of our hearts is then reflected in our thoughts, words and actions. It is demonstrated every year when we trust God by committing to give back to Him a portion of the gifts he gives us to help and reach others for Christ. The more we make it a habit, the more we are receptive to Gods calling, and the closer our relationship to God becomes. This is why it is so important that you make a commitment to give of your time your talent and your treasure.
In Isaiah we get to experience the powerful story of one person’s reaction to being called to do something directly by God. At first Isaiah focuses on his sins, feeling he falls short of the kind of person God would want for anything important. However, God removes Isaiah’s sin leaving only one more barrier; Isaiah himself. As if emphasizing the importance of every single person’s individual calling, God then Calls out “Whom Shall I send?” still allowing the gift of choice to Isaiah. In subtle and sometimes not so subtle ways God is calling on you as well. Your gifts, your presence, your freely given choice to follow God are so important. Will you answer as Isaiah did and say, "Here am I. Send Me!"
We humbly ask that you as a member of Trinity take the next step, and bless others with your time, talent, and treasure. The most important thing is to pray and begin, not the amount you commit in any of the three areas. Let your commitment grow under His guidance. Please commit to support Trinity with your time talent and treasure in 2012 by completing this on-line commitment form.
