The programs of Trinity episcopal Day School (T.E.D.S.) are designed to meet the
cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual needs of young children ages 2-5.
Through individualized attention, instruction and play, offered in a loving atmosphere,
we seek to nourish and develop each child's special potential. In addition to basic
motor skills and developmentally appropriate early academic expression, our programs
cover creative movement, music, earth sciences, math exploration, oral language
development, and more.
As an Episcopal school, we begin each school day with Chapel. Geared to a child's
understanding, the children's liturgy combines singing, dramatic storytelling and
lessons that model and teach Christian values. Character development and leadership
are emphasized through the active roles children take in chapel services. Children
are taught personal values rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition, including responsibility,
honesty, and sensitivity to the needs and rights of others.
The day school director, Mrs. Carol Godell, earned a Bachelor of Science degree
in early childhood education at the University of Texas, Austin, and a Director's
Certification. She previously served as director of Young Wisdom Preschool of The
Woodlands. All teachers at T.E.D.S. are degreed in early childhood or elementary
education and/or have experience in a preschool setting. Our staff is attentive
to the well-being and emotional security of children, understanding that an environment
that meets emotional needs is most capable of encouraging cognitive development.
