We’re featuring the many ministries of Trinity on our blog and social media pages, and we thank Bill Carter for sending this piece about a recent outing of the Prime Time Guys.
This month the Prime Time Guys toured the Conroe North Houston Regional Airport. This airport is the home base for the Texas Raider, one of only eleven B-17 Flying Fortresses still flying today. The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) has done an exceptional job in restoring this WWII bomber and our able guide provided an interesting tour of both inside and outside of the aircraft.
From there we went to the airport tower and were able to get a great view of the airport and surrounding area. Also were able to learn something about the important jobs done by the air controllers.
This was later followed by a tour of the Galaxy, an FBO (Fixed base Operations) facility, then to lunch at the Black Walnut restaurant.
The Prime Time Guys is an organization of Trinity Episcopal Church and welcomes all retired men to join. We meet on the third Monday of every month for an interesting program and lunch.
